“Can women and men be JUST friends?”
I was on the phone with my friend and I said, “I need to call my homeboy and see how he’s been doing?” She said, “When we will be too old to say “homeboy”?” I said, “Yeah, I guess I am too old to refer to my male friends as homeboys…do you think at a certain age females shouldn’t be buddy-buddy with males?” She said, “I think there is. I never heard my mom talking about her homeboys…” I said, “Me either.” So, I ask can women and men be JUST friends?

This Movie Monday is dedicated to my grandma’s and aunts’ favorite movie, Pretty Woman. How can you not like Julia Roberts in this movie? She makes being a prostitute seem so sweet and you can’t help but root for her throughout the entire movie.
There are two things I don’t like about certain churches. The first thing is when they ask all the visitors to stand so they can acknowledge them. I don’t mind when they clap and say “Welcome”, but I hate when they keep asking you do you want to say something. Sometimes before you can decline you have an usher handing you a mic. The second thing I dislike is the part at the end of church when the minister asks does anybody want to be saved. Some ministers ask the question once maybe twice and after a minute or two if nobody walks up they move on to the next part of service, but this minister at a church I visited was definitely the reason why sometimes I don’t like that portion.

Should there be an expiration date on engagements?
While listening to The Michael Baisden Show on the radio he posed the question “What is the reasonable time to be engaged?”
We all know weddings take time to plan. We also know sometimes a person proposes marriage to please their spouse, but also buy more time before the actual wedding.Is there something wrong with a long term engagement?
Lala Vazquez discussed in interviews how she knew people said Carmelo Anthony wasn’t going to marry her and she was going to be the internal fiancee. They were engaged for about five years before their wedding day.
So I ask should there be an expiration date on engagements?
The text read, “Will you do me a favor? If anybody asks where I’m at…tell them I’m with you.” I responded, “Where are your real friends?” She responded, “We are real friends!” I texted, “We’re REAL co-worker friends. He doesn’t even know me. It’s not believable.Where are your BFFs?” She said, “They don’t know. You’re the only person I told. Plus…you owe me. I gave you permission to use my story for your post Pretty Little Liars.” I called her and said, “Girl stop! I didn’t even use your name. Where you going anyway?” She laughed and said, “You know where.” I said, “Shame.”
